185, almost half cask ales, which shows I like the odd pint down the pub, as one point I thought it would be more, but had a very quiet Nov/Dec by old standards.

I think there was an element of deliberately looking for new beers, when something I know I like was available, but I have been doing that for quite sometime, and I think I am very lucky in living Manchester, lots of breweries about. I do need to have more proper bitters.....

Your list for 2022 is most impressive OS.

My 2023 list kicks off with the Bottles/Cans list:
1. Wychwood, Dry Neck 4% - bought because it was cheap in the supermarket in case anyone called round on New Year's Eve and we needed to have an extra beer on hand to offer - nobody did call round though so we drank it last night!

The cans are entirely due to the newish bottle shop down the road. Otherwise there would have been an awful lot of Ghost Ship from sainsbury!

57.5 Days of Xmas
I gave up last year after getting in about fifty beers at a four day beer festival and not remembering too many details.

Will try harder in 2023:

Still on my bottles/cans list as won't start the draught list until I visit a pub at the weekend:
2) FreeDam Lager - 0.0% (can)
3) Guinness - Cold Brew Coffee beer 4.0% (can) - it's pricey and I don't generally like Guinness but I really like this one.

Just had Mad Squirrel's Hoodwink. A white chocolate stout. Very nice it was, too.

2023: Keeping a proper list

1 Gran Riserva lager (bottle) - Aldi
2 Green Devil IPA (½, cask) - Oakham
3 Abbot Reserve (½, cask) - Greene King
4 Lager (can) - Innes and Gunn
5 No. 1 Pale Ale (bottle) - Bass
6 Sleekit Stout Milk Stout (can) - Beinn (Lidl)
7 1843 (bottle) - Fuller's

Re OS's list - a fine endeavour, of which I overlapped in only nine (and that's allowing different dispenses).

Good list keeping. It's been the most interesting thing, the differences between everyone.

Bottled Bass is very good indeed.

About This Thread

Maintained by Ocelot Spleens
and here we are in 2024....

I still really like a pint.

I think this is not too controversial health wise. Lots of beers about these days. I interpret it as different beers within 2023, and you can, if you like; avoid beers you have had before, but as ever the list is yours to do what you like.
