50 his year you say?

Shouldn't be too tricky ... untappd.com

Very rarely drink these days but I was probably doing 50 on about a 3-4 week basis for far too long. Now a reformed beer ticker but I'll play along in 1st gear to see if I can keep up with you all.

I haven't kept detailed records, but I get a monthly craft beer "selection box" from Beer52, so getting to 50 in the year won't be a problem... I'll have to see if I can figure out where I've had this year.

Slow start to 2020 and not much exploring:

Draught
Adnams Ghost Ship
Something else which was lovely, but I've forgotten

Cans
Woodforde's Wherry (didn't like it, tastes too sweet)
Adnams Ghost Ship (again)
Tiny Rebel Cali Pale

Bottles
Guinness West Indies Porter (waiting to be drunk)

AF Cans
Big Drop Brewing Co Paridiso Citra IPA

I like the Big Drop Stout and I have tried their Pale Ale too but need to have a look at some of their others too I think.

Mrs D loves the Milk Stout. The Citra is great after a long run.

No idea where the Brew it, but I had been drinking it for ages before I realised the head office was about a mile from my house.

I'll add Trappistes Rochefort 10 - at 11.3% a classic rich quad to take me to 10/50 so far.

57.5 Days of Pain
This sounds like a worthy challenge. From memory:

Loch Ness - Hoppy Ness
Fyne Ales - Workbench
Brewdog - Hazy Jane
Brewdog - Gale
Theakston - Old Peculiar
Fyne Ales - 20th Anniversary Ale (barley wine)

All bottles and cans (Workbench, Brewdog) as I've yet to visit a pub this year.

About This Thread

and here we are in 2024....

I still really like a pint.

I think this is not too controversial health wise. Lots of beers about these days. I interpret it as different beers within 2023, and you can, if you like; avoid beers you have had before, but as ever the list is yours to do what you like.
