I did this in my 20s. I got to an absolutely shameful 560 different beers. My mate I was competing against got to 640. I have them all in a spreadsheet somewhere

I had a minimum measure of 250ml and the beer had to be finished. It was fun - if very bad health wise

I like the sound of some of those on Hertford Tiger's list. Crouch Vale Brewers Gold will definitely be making it onto my list before too long.

It is a very good beer Baroness. Seems to be in most Greene king pubs round here at the moment. I do like the Broken Dreams you recommended

Interesting that Greene King have got it at as a guest HT - there are two pubs relatively local to me (about a 15 minute drive) that always have it on but neither is GK. Usually - having lived in Bury St Edmunds for a long time - I don't bother going to GK pubs if there is an option to try something else but I might have to review that!

Ciders are in.

Oh, I'd better add a can of Thatchers Haze 4.5% to my total. That makes it ten so far.

Okay then, like I say, bit of a lightweight but here goes...

Draught beers
Damnation (IPA I think? 4.xx%)
Cobra

Draught ciders
Bad Apple (yum)
Strongbow (yawn)

Canned Cider
Alsko Guava and lime, bit disappointing actually. Just sweet, not a lot of flavour.

5 in total so far.
No idea on percentages or anything.

My mate has a liking for the 9%+ stouts. Yuk.

Oh happy place! :) What a day. :) :)

Draught beers are less likely for me, as we live at the arse end of nowhere and the nearest boozer is in town (and full of idiots). But I'll get some of those on holiday. Are we differentiating between bottles and cans? (I expect I will)

and here we are in 2024....

I still really like a pint.

I think this is not too controversial health wise. Lots of beers about these days. I interpret it as different beers within 2023, and you can, if you like; avoid beers you have had before, but as ever the list is yours to do what you like.
