Hmmm. As usual while my cuppa was brewing today I dropped and did another 20, thinking that would make the 100. But I'd already done the 100. Not much point noting them down if I don't consult my notes ...

100. Counted correctly with no unexpected extras.

I did 3 x 30 before work and 3 x 30 at work. This is getting OCD 🙄

I only found this thread a couple of days ago !!
Bit of a late starter I know. With not much upper body strength at the moment I doubt I'll get to 5,000 by the end of the year but if I can just get consistent I'll get closer than I am now.

Bigleggy, if you go onto the spreadsheet linked in the sidebar you can add yourself and set a more realistic target for you. That can be adjusted as the year goes on anyway so if it's to ambitious (or not ambitious enough) you can legitimately move the goalposts.
Consistency is indeed the key. Good luck and welcome aboard.

BigLeggy, if you start slow you can build it up. i started with 3 sets of 10 press-ups in January and now am up to 3/4 sets of 25 5 months later. Consistency is definitely you friend and don't overdo it at the beginning!

Ha. 3 sets of 10 is where I'm trying to get to. Started about a year ago being able to do 2. Not 2 sets, 2 press ups. Consistency is definitely key. I just did the two every day, then three, then...
3 sets of 9 done this morning. Getting there.
