It won't last Homer. I'm around the house quite a bit at the moment and just ticking over on the running. So plenty of opportunity and energy at present plus routine. Once the mileage kicks up and I start being out and about/away more it will be more random. It was very noticeable last year how the big months for this type of activity were at the beginning and end of the year. When I was spending a lot of time away in the hills there was a distinct drop off!

4 x 20. My upper arms wouldn't have coped with sets of 25 today. Day off tomorrow.

Following ER and Chell's exchange about placement and positioning of hands, it occurred to me that the arthritic joints at the base of my thumbs might be one of the things making it difficult for me to do "proper" press-ups from floor level. Doing them from the arm of a chair gives me a nice soft (but not too yielding) cylindrical shape to grip. Experimented a bit and discovered that by gripping the sides of a low stool (considerably lower than the chair arm) I can indeed cope with a few press-ups, more demanding than the chair-arm ones. So that's what I'll do from now on.
