It’s time for… the monthly stats summary for the 2000 thread! Lets get down to it :
We now have 42 runners (39 last month) with a declared target of 2000 miles for 2019.
Of these 42 runners, 24 are on or above target as of this morning, so 57% - a slight drop compared with last months 59%
If we keep the same measures as last month I.e. +20%, -20% and in-between, we get the following numbers :
12 (29%), 9 (21%), and 21 (50%) (c.f. May's 31%, 23%, and 46%)
So a further increase for those close to target for the third month, and a slight drop again in those streaking ahead. A slight decrease in those runners behind target, with a much more scattered grey heart pattern (meeting monthly target) up and down the table.
A disappointing month for symmetry fans - but don’t worry I’ll be keeping an eye out again next month…
Outliers…. Nothing new to report this month, outliers-wise, there are still 2 (5%) more than 50% behind target after the sixth month, I hope the injuries etc. clear soon and you can get back to it.
We had a smattering of target races this month:
StuH, StuartM Endure24 (100m) 15/6
oumaumau Donkey DropOut 22/6 Win
Sam Jelfs Another One Bites the Dust 28/6
with only Sam Jelfs getting his target - well done Sam 28 laps over 28 hours for the 'win'. It seems conditions weren't favourable for the two Stu's at Endure, and I more or less shot myself in the foot at the Donkey Dropout.
Next month, hopefully, we’ll have a comparable set of numbers, and the result of some more of those target races - Looks like another quiet month for racing, or at least racing with intent… just zp taking on the Lakes Sky Ultra. Best of Luck.
Well done all, sometimes just getting out the door can be a challenge so good on you for getting that far (and often much further). It's almost the mid point of the year (tomorrow by my calculations), so for those behind target there's no rush, you have 6 months (and a day) to catch up. For those streaking ahead, hope you are enjoying it - remember rest/recovery is where the adaption happens.
If you'd like to see any other stats at the end of each month, or even no stats at all, then post about it below. Stay tuned and best of luck!
