Yep, thanks oumaumau.

I’m one of those a bit ahead at the moment but with a target race on December 1st, December will be a low month for me and so I don’t expect to be nearly as far ahead by the year end.

Best wishes to those with June targets.

Wow..I've now done 20 miles this year so far with an impressive total of 12 during May!!!
This time last year as my hip groaned into further disrepair I was at around the 800 mile mark.
Progress from the hipop stalled a bit because of a problem that emerged with my shin during rehab--it's improving but I've yet to get out and run on hard surfaces yet. Fingers crosses it will be this month!

Slowly, slowly catch that monkey torey :)

I'm nursing an unhappy hip this morning after an ill-advised 5 miler in the sunshine yesterday. All good 'til around 4 miles, then ouch! Not comparing like for like, but the common theme seems to be patience....

Quite right oumaumau! But patience sure is linked with frustration too--it's absolutely incredible how hard running slowly for just two minutes is after having had such a long lay off! It really will be starting from scratch--today I'm scheduled for running on a hardish surface (trail/path) in a local park--should be good!

Sounds like fun torey :), all I can suggest is keeping an eye on the prize - long term return to the running you want.

I'm off for another physio'ing this morning. Hoping to run before the end of the week, cycling is just not the same... Seems you can have too much of a good thing :(

Two miles done (as a total!) yesterday, on grass and a bit of harder surface. All well! I'm following my physio's advice all along the way--although my surgeon's advice is never to run again!

I'm sure you're sensible enough to figure out what you can do torey :)

Good luck to the Endure24 runners - forecast looks fair, so I suppose it depends on the current course conditions. Enjoy!

still packing my car! Hoping for good weather (more for the camping than the running)

Running on roads again..at last! 3.6 miles at just over 10 minute pace which I'm happy about. Amazing to be running without hip pain and other associated pains which dogged me for two years. But thank you all the strong pain killers...which have now been ditched after so long!
