Wow - I have two club mates doing the Arc of Attrition, they are both extremely talented and it's gonna test them to the absolute limits, last time they did a 100 miler one had to go to hospital for painkillers as his ankles swelled up so much. Good luck with that Silver Strider, that is a fearsome race!

Good luck SS, that's some serious mileage. Good news is it will help you reach 2000miles!

Chris, CW thanks My fourth Arc, its 2-1 to me so far. I DNF'd at 76miles in 2016 in a horrendous storm, discretion was the better part of valour that day. My best time was last year 28:40. Just hoping to make it 3-1 to me as its always a brute of a test and the course is in a proper mess!! Who are your Team mates Chris, I may well know them? If any ones interested here is the link to the live tracking. live.opentracking.co.uk |

I'll keep an eye out for them Chris, not sure if i've met them before or run with either but i'm pretty sure we have mutual friends in Pat Munn, Di Roy and Jane Stephens! Enjoy your hols.

Haha I know Pat and Di very, very well. Ran the Dorset marathon last year with them for periods of the race, at first I dropped them, then on the hills at the end they dropped me!

After a slow start to the year, I think I'm starting to get my training in order. I'm slightly up will will hopefully pull ahead a bit over the coming months. Could I be added to the sidebar for Liverpool half on 25/03, with an ambitious target of 1:25, ta SS - good luck with that! Another ultra 3 weeks after a 100 seems utter madness to me though |

Thanks everyone for the good luck wishes, they worked well The good news is that I finished undamaged and the mileage is back on track, although it will slip back a little as I let myself recover! The slightly sad news is the event took me 33:27:11 so a little slower than i hoped and so I missed the rugby. The positives of this are at least I wasn't part of the 65% DNF statistic and I will recover quicker as a result of being forced to walk more than I anticipated. Chris - Oliver and Chris were on fire, they had great races and were done and dusted long before me, so I didn't get to chat with them! |

Should have been doing the Transgrancanaria Trail ultra this coming weekend but because of illness and injury....I'm off with a friend who is doing it and Ali will watch!!! And enjoy some warmer weather! Managed over a hundred miles this last month but only half of my desired goal! Too bad..but at least I'm still running.
