Six years ago I was running quite well! I've posted a "blog" about one of the events I completed just to keep me motivated to get back running in 2019!

Awesome blog torey, that is some display of fortitude! I'm sure you'll be back running in no time with that mindset :), though probably best to wait until you don't need the painkillers before getting back to it. Two weeks until my final race of the year, and I'm really looking forward to it, as much so that I can figuratively hang up my shoes for the year at that point. All being to plan, I should have either hit the 2000 before or during the event and I'm looking forward to a well deserved rest. Best of luck all

I've got 3 more races still to do this year, then next one will be tough a 10 mile offroader with allegedly 1700ft worth of ascending!
Getting bit worried this thread won't make 20 over 2000 this year. Only 19 within 50 miles of the current break even point. Outside is possible, but it's a tall order with so little of the year left...

I’m behind now but really glad I am nearly fixed. Being really careful to ramp up slowly so if I miss my target but am still running in the new year it will be a win

Nearly back up to mileage, probably will be by next week. Hopefully just in time to start my 12 week training plan for Wokingham Half.

Well done cw. Bit more hard work and you'll get there.
I see 6 people are home already - well done!
I'm just shy of 100miles to go, so still looking comfortable, but would like to get over the line as soon as possible!

Well done cw and Paul. I know what you mean about getting over the line. I'm less than 200 to go, but I'm always nervous of a last minute injury. The offroad gorge/woodland 10 mile race I ran yesterday saw a broken shoulder and a broken collarbone within the first 3 miles, so I'm always reminded an unlucky slip can cost everything.

That sounds pretty extreme Chrisull, risky course or risky execution?
Loved my night race at the weekend, windy but clear skies and finished as the sky was colouring for dawn. Unusually for me a trophy for coming in third! It was awesome.
Thank goodness for the race portfolio on here - I'd forgotten I'd entered the Hogs Back race next month - just one more race for the year..

Course wasn't that risky, I think just unlucky, there was one or two rocky bits that needed concentration, but not much more.
