While not yet at the 2000, I passed the first (and arguably biggest) landmark of the year, which was 20,000 miles in a decade. Not every year has been 2000, but only twice did I not get there, and both times that was intentional, rather than waylaid by injury.

That's fantastic Chrisull - what a piece of persistence and commitment!

I've passed my pb for the year and should be over the line to 2000 within a week.

Ended the year on 1387 and the expectation of a new hip on 29th November. My operation was cancelled at the very last minute due to bed shortages! Got to wait now until 3rd January and my running return will be that much later than I thought! Too bad!

How frustrating torey! :(

I passed 2,000 today for the first time ever. It's been a frustrating year of race results for me so reaching this persistence milestone is a welcome achievement.

Well done paul!

How are the others who are still short looking?

I won't reach it for a little while yet.

I should comfortably get there... but with less than 4 weeks to go I'm not counting my chickens just yet! It will be close.

Yeah I'm just below you Stu, in the same boat. In theory every December bar one I've been over the 120 miles I need for the month (and the time I wasn't , I wasn't aiming for anything), but yes injuries/unforeseen circumstances always are a worry. I think one advantage of being so close is we can throw in a long run (15-20 miles) which would suddenly make it look a lot more comfortable.

So I have 51 miles to go - should do it without too much drama, but it is hard going, weather is crap, no races to target, just tired, worn down.

For the rest of the group, I'd say 17 of us should make best case scenario is 20, after that I can't see over 160 being managed in just over two weeks, unless anyone has a sneaky 100 mile ultra up their sleeves.

Stu - you seem to have stalled, hoping you're still get there.
