Wow that sounds scary Torey.

I'm way ahead at the moment and rapidly closing in on the first thousand of the year.

Whether I make 2,000 is totally dependent on the recovery from the Lakeland 100. However next year really confident as 166 miles per month feels easy.

Hope your vision is coming back now Torey, that doesn't sound fun at all :(

Fenners, I wonder if your 'high' mileage had anything to do with your disappointing (all relative of course) race at the Fling? Glad you are feeling it is easy ;)

My disappointing Highland Fling was entirely due to rubbish pacing. I didn't respect the distance and paid the penalty.

That sounds terrible torey, hope you recover fine, and well done on the 50 you did do.

Thanks everyone. Attended A&E in Cardiff today at the suggestion of Plympton A&E. Thankfully nothing serious going on and things returning slowly to normal although my one eye and cheek remains swollen. A urine test showed a bit of blood in my urine--common of course after a long run. A few days off now!
Next event is a mere 50k in six weeks time--I'm thinking that my max efforts will be 12 hours races from now until my hip is replaced cos it was pretty sore after forty-fifty miles.

How's everyone doing? +11.29% here, ticking along nicely. Trying to get a balance between getting faster (running intervals etc) and keeping the miles up.

Down 27.2 and no real chance of catching up in June as I need to sort out various niggles.

Think I'm about +260 miles (ahead) :)

Never achieved six consecutive 200+ mile months before but I have now :)

After my delayed start until late January due to injury, I'm now ahead of the game by about 50 miles :-)
