I am still 40 down on the year but not too concerned. Will keep ticking along and chipping away, happy to just have some consistent mileage and no marathon to disrupt it!

Whinge, whine etc. After getting to within 20 miles of target following the Fling 10 days ago, I've been struck by the third cold of the year... Back to 60 below, but it's still early in the year ;).
Could do with some consistency though...

Struggling with very niggly glutes post marathon which has meant I'm struggling through a 3/4 mile run here and there. So slowly falling behind. Need to start banging out the 40-50 mile weeks again.
Foam roller, yoga, bit of strength work, chiro, physio it's all happening to get me back on the road

Best of luck Huntsman - I like the scattergun approach to resolving the issue How will you know which one worked?

Hope you get fixed soon! I'm still on target and hopeful Endure24 (team of 5) won't break me. Had 2 PBs recently (10miles and HM) so maybe all of this extra mileage is working.

All on schedule for the Hope 24 this coming Saturday..did well last year but have different sights this time around and just hoping my hip doesn't cause a major problem. The drugs are working---up to a point!

Good luck torey - I'm sure your willpower will compensate for the point beyond the drugs!
Here, not much to report 70 miles above target, gradually getting faster and seeing a return to form.

Arghhhh...thanks Chrisull... Expect nothing , be prepared for anything! Things were going well; 9.30 pm and head torch time to begin another of the five mile loops; ten minutes in and I couldn't see properly so asked someone if my eyes looked ok and they were swollen. Back to check point with assistance by which time I couldn't see at all-- some kind of allergic reaction so off quickly to A&E with my crew--turns out it was something called "chemosis"..could've been something from trees/rain. As it is (the race is still going again)the run was stopped at about 9.45pm anyway because of dangerous conditions on the course in the dark and re started at 6am. Did nearly fifty miles, there's always another day!
