Doing some 10Ks first sounds sensible Stu, even though he’s done longer than that in training will help him get used to racing over longer distances.

Yes, building up to it makes sense and the coach's input would be very helpful as well.
It's cooling off a bit - quite a breeze as I walked back to Morrisons to pick up cottage cheese for hubby, who then picked me up there, as I didn't want to walk the rest of the way home with heavy shopping. My shoulder and neck would pay for it if I were stupid enough to do that.

Morning all, sat here watching the birds on the very windy feeders, contemplating a windy 10 miler. Can I have summer back please 😀

Indeed I was Pikelet. 3 miles done as part of my “Getting back into, and learning to love, running again” plan. I named it so it rolls off the tongue. I’m looking at a 20 mile week this week. The highest for ages. Nice Autumn morning up here, jacket required, no gloves just yet.

5 miles this morning and felt brilliant. I generally just run yet today even though I did 4 maximal efforts in track races and over 50 miles my legs felt mega.
I'm rarely surprised but today I was surprised.
I'm even roughly on target
