Good work Fenners. It’s been lovely and bright in the Northamptons.

I am pleased to say I am back on mobileness.

Cheers Wobbler, glad you are back on mobileness. It is now pleasantly warm in the Fens with sunny intervals.

Sunshine has hit Hertfordshire. I'm on target for 1500 miles for the year, but only just. So no room for anything to go wrong.

For possibly the first time ever I'm going to cruise past 2,000 miles. In other years I've had to have a big November's and December's to get there.

Glad you're enmobiled once again, WW.

Still stretching, rolling and not running, but the foot does seem to be easing. Going to be sensible though, and not run yet. Was hoping to hit the 2000 mile mark for the year, but now will just see how it goes and be grateful for whatever the old feet will let me do!

Good news yesterday when totally unexpectedly, a few extra money-pounds turned up in my bank account. Way back in 2006, I co-wrote a small text book for the kind of course I taught on at the time, just 2 chapters out of 6, and astonishingly, we're still getting royalties for it. Staggered that anybody's still buying it in sufficient quantities to produce royalties. Not a lot (and whatever there is has to be split three ways), but it'll pay for a decent curry for me and Mr JK tomorrow night anyway.

Pork stir fry for tea.

an author :-0 impressed - nice one JK

Glad your fone's arrived wobbler - aeroplane mode is my favourite mode.

Nice going fenners - think I'll manage 900 this year, which tbh I'll be pretty happy with.

We have a Booker prize winner on the thread!! Amaze bobs. Carry on with the rest Jabber.

In all honesty whilst I could easily live without a fone long term. Short term it’s bum sticks.

I’m sitting in the garden.

You're clearly a woman of many talents JK! Bad news about the foot still not being any better, but nice to have a bit of extra money - hope you and Mr JK have a nice meal out.

We spent the day in Clevedon yesterday, which we rather enjoy, although it did rain for most of the day. We stayed over though, and it was sunny today so we got to have a bit of sunshine by the seaside before we left.

I think I know what my theme for the September round up will be, just need to write it now.

Ooo nearly round up time.

Home made curry 4 tea.

Sports massage done. Thought I might have a minor niggle but he couldn't make me wince so don't think it can be much to worry about.

I am indeed a published author, but sadly lacking any writing talent - just the one book, though my Mum was thrilled when I gave her a signed copy!

It's a riveting, exciting read all about doing basic action research projects. My contributions were the chapters on reviewing the relevant literature and writing up the project report. You can still buy it on Amazon (in case anyone in your family would like an unusual and weirdly different Ch------s present): amazon.co.uk
