Morning. Well done to everyone who raced this weekend.

I can just about walk this morning. The Larmer Tree 20 was brutal. The mud was really gloopy and just sapped all the energy from your legs. Mine were screaming at me before the first hill which was a killer, very steep and the main route up was so muddy that alternatives had to be found. Downhills weren't any easier as you slipped and slided your way down! Think I walked as much as I ran. Got a lift when my watch beeped 19 miles, then was deflated again when I heard someone at the next aid station say "only 2K to go". Yes, we had value for money, 21.28 miles by my Garmin! Finished in 4:35:29, which is about the same time I took for the Grizzly last year.

Jono.
excellent WestMoors, made me laugh - mind you the comments should have been directed to RW ;-)

59 POSTS and I've read them all, excellent running and general stuff from the 1500 'ers, made me feel joyous.

went out and ran 8 miles this morning, wanted to venture over the 10k distance. Minded to keep to a 9.30 pace. whilst pace at this stage of my running should not be a preoccupation I feel its important to have some sense of order.

1) 1m - 9:33(9:33/m) 130cal 6.29/0mph
2) 1m - 9:22(9:22/m) 130cal 6.4/0mph
3) 1m - 9:16(9:16/m) 129cal 6.47/0mph
4) 1m - 9:25(9:25/m) 129cal 6.37/0mph
5) 1m - 9:07(9:07/m) 128cal 6.59/0mph
6) 1m - 9:21(9:21/m) 129cal 6.42/0mph
7) 1m - 9:19(9:19/m) 128cal 6.44/0mph
8) 1m - 9:23(9:23/m) 130cal 6.4/0mph

That looks fun Westmoors! There were amusing and motivational signs around the course of the Grizzly 20-miler but sadly it was my first DNF. Back pain made me pull out at 13.5 miles. Gutted but still did more than a HM & with 2500 ft climbing too! ... I will return!

Well done Stu on your PB... Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better Toks, nice pacing Jono!
Resting & sore today :-(

PS Westmoors, how does the % tarmac compare between Larmer Tree 20 & Grizzly? There was a lot more road than I was expecting. I loved the shingle, mud, river, bog and grassy bits though!
