They really do, it was difficult to believe that it was only a week ago when we saw it laying on the ground.

Nice to see Jaks and EP joining in with the thread. Nice running for some, well done. That's nice to see the calf hillstrider, thanks for the photo. 6 and a bit this morning takes me over the 1000 miles this year so I shall reset my target to 1500 but I shall still hang around here so please continue behaving yourselves. |

Great stuff FF. Glad you're sticking with this thread; short run for you six and a bit ๐. Not good running weather for your taste this morning, it was a rain top morning here and my intended longer run became just 3.3 miles. Weather aside I had nothing in me and it was a struggle day again. Good off road run there Jaks, much more pleasant to be off road. Yes, I remember conkers being banned unless goggles were used๐. Re horse chestnut trees, our local authority chopped down fifteen of them because of conkers falling from them and causing shade on a new housing complex. They were trees that had been there for at least fifty years. That's progress!. |

Just noticed it's been my best month since October last year. Ok, well down on usual annual/monthly miles but I might get there again ๐ค!

Well done Steve for this mornings run, and best monthly mileage since last October. This mornings solo run was in heavy rain. It was a hilly road 10k and a negative split. My monthly total is 122.2, so I'm pleased with that. |

Well done Steve and HS also my best month this year. Helped by doing my longer run today because Iโm busy on Sunday.

A good August for some of you well done. Yes Steve 6 is a short run for me, I was chatting to our son on our way back from the airport this morning and I said going out for 5k isn't worth it for me. It doesn't matter whether it's summer or winter, how fast or how slow I run I always sweat so I may as well make it worth sweating, needing a shower and having to put my kit to wash. I'm just very lucky to be able to run the distances I do run in the time I have available to me. |

Well done FF! You are very lucky having the time to do longer runs. There has been some good running this month, well done everyone! The wee man loves conkers, he can't wait till they fall off the trees. Although brambles are his thing this week. I was out with the club on Tuesday evening, I did 6 miles at more like threshold pace for most of it. It felt hard but good to try and go faster especially when most of the others were way ahead. I didn't get out this morning - someone wanted a snack at 4am, maybe later. |
