That was a coincidence LL!

Welcome to the thread Velofrance!

Well done for your enjoyable run yesterday with your friend GG. 30 miles for the week is excellent so you are way ahead of the line already.

I'm not on Spotify Steve, so I listen to the radio a lot during the day, or play my CD'S. My favourite station is Planet Rock, which plays "my sort of music." My neighbour is a bit deaf, so I can turn up the volume a bit.

All my PB's except one were when I was 43, the exception was the New Forest Marathon when I was 47. 30 years ago ☹️

Well done EP they all count.

Hope you’re having a fabulous holiday Loo

I keep saying I’m going to being my CD player in my home office I never listen to a CD it’s always a playlist on shuffle or the radio. I like a podcast when I’m running. I listen to Young Hearts Run Free all about ultra running or I like a run without noise.

Well done LL running during your holiday.

GG, I've got a "Boom Box," so I can play my CD'S, cassettes and radio. I can play CD'S in my car, whereas in newer cars, it's all about streaming.

My first long run of the year this morning. I ran 10 miles in the forest with the Monday Group, in the wet, muddy and windy forest. Also first running in my trail shoes.

Welcome to the thread VeloFrance :-)

Hope you are feeling a bit better now Steve.

Good to see you finding time to run in NZ LL.

You are doing great Pix, I have been feeling like that for a while.

I don't own a CD player or any CD's anymore. I don't listen to a lot of music, although I do at work or have the radio on in the car.

Looks like everyone has had a great weekend of running :-)

I was RD at my local Parkrun on Saturday, it was our 100th event and had 175 runners. We usually get about 60-70. I did manage to get a run in too, I did some hilly loops. Not sure how this week will be, will see how it goes.

Well done on 10 forest miles hs, our woods/fells are so muddy its ridiculous so I'm sticking to paths at the moment. I expect your new trail shoes were christened in the mud.

We had a little bit snow and some icy areas, so my lunch run was a bit tentative BUT I did manage to find some safer sections to do my 8 sets of 30/30 intervals.

Sounds like you've got a bit of the lurgy hanging on Pix, just take it easy there is a lot of the month and year left. ((()))

That was a great turnout for the 100th Lesley its amazing how the milestone runs encourage people out - along with NY resolutions. Great you managed to get a run in too.

Ten miles hs! That's more like it!! Well run

Nice to see your involvement in Park Run Lesley especially doing some hilly loops👍.
Intervals gg! Great stuff when the white stuff and ice makes things difficult.
You're managing whatever lurgy you've got far better than I'm managing mine EPix! I'm on my tenth no run today and my desire has waned as my coughing continues. Even at this early stage it's not looking good target wise for me; because of the heart question marks ( still awaiting full results) I can't see me making up the difference over the year. Still, I await a miracle🤣

Hope the cough eases soon mine hung around for about 6 weeks finally it’s gone although the cold does bring it back.

Is it worth changing your target to be what it will be rather than causing you a bit upset at your current situation? I know in the past I’ve had to do that and it’s helped me not feel negatively about how things are. Getting your heart info back and understanding what is safe to do is more important and you’re still doing what you can but without any pressure to catch up.
