Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Wow, well done for getting through that run hillstrider. Rain before I got up but nothing since.

Thanks Turkhish and well done for including hills in your run.

Thanks FF, I had to dig deeper than I ever had to before. It was "only" a 10 miler, and one I run about once a month, but it felt almost like hypothermia from the continuous soaking from road spray. The fact that I could hardly see didn't help.

Character building some may call it hillstrider. Stay warm and hydrated for a few days, I hope you don't come down with a cold.

Thanks FF, Character building was the expression I was trying to think of. Hopefully I will remain cold free.

Knee seems to be ok thanks LL. I have been very sensible for me and given it full rest from cycling and running but hope to go out Tuesday and test it out.

That sounded like a run of 2 half’s hs, hope you’re dried out by now.

Lovely weekend at the boat, I’ve walked 3-3.5m each day with hubby & dog it’s been so chilled. I took my book & paints and did my first attempt at drawing then painting, previous paintings my friend does classes and she provides the pictures. It’s been very therapeutic.

Might see how I fair on a run tomorrow just short and slow.

On drive home over been checking out the details for The Wall and worked out checkpoints are about 6-7m apart which will be nice to check off. I’ve also plotted the distance and my bronze silver & gold times so feeling a bit better prepped and even majority walking should see me finished within cut off (hopefully of course)

Epic effort hs! It's amazing how quickly rain chills; it was lovely and mild, 14c, here when I went out a little after 6am. Rain threatened but came to nothing during a four miler along trails. Thankfully I only wore T and shorts or I'd have been too warm!
Nice change gg and I've seen that your painting has gone well! Hope that lurgy and running lethargy isn't anything to do with the aftermath of covid.
In respect of my continued poor pace/HR we've thrown possible post covid into the mix: in April 2020 I was unwell with a bad chest and cough for ten days. Wife too. Wife was(is) front line worker at the time battling for PPE. At the time no tests of course and thereafter life carried on. A thorough perusal of my log over the weekend shows a significant drop in running performance from there onwards....who knows? ! At the time family and friends were all saying "you might have covid".

Maybe it’s long covid Steve that would explain a lot.
