GG, hope you are having a lovely time in Iceland!

RFJ, great hearing from you again! Well done for reaching your walking target this year.

LL, hope this morning's parkrun went well, and good luck for tomorrow's medium/long run.

Steve, glad to hear that your foot was ok for this morning's 8 miles. Hopefully it won't cause any more problems 🤞

Ran 5.26 miles in the forest this morning with 3 running buddies at marathon pace.

I got my 8 done yesterday, found it ok. Good
Luck with your long one today HS.
I’m trying to resist the urge to catch up lost mileage and stick to my plan.

Great eight LL! Very wise too in keeping to your plan.
That long run comes around quickly hs, nice conditions here so hope it's the same for you.
Just over 5k for me partly on trails.

My new Saucony are ok but am preferring my Hokas lately. I've tried moving up a half size in Saucony which works pretty well with "certain" socks! Not so good with the individual toe socks that I usually wear. I do wish, as maybe everyone might, that manufactures kept the same styles in hand for a few years. ( Couldn't resist a grumble LL 😂!)

Well done LL for your 8 miles. Thanks, the LSD run went well, see below. Probably wise to stick to your plan.

Conditions for running were much better than last Monday Steve. Well done for this morning's trail run.
I've never tried Hokas, but have stuck with Asics for many years. I also wear a half size higher than ordinary shoes, and ageee that manufacturers shouldn't modify the styles every year.

This morning we did the 21 miles in the forest, and because of the much cooler conditions, it wasn't such a struggle. The tapering now begins 😁

21 miles in a forest! Now that's what I call superb sounding running. Tapering has come around quickly hs, surprising how weeks fly by when plans are followed. So that 21 is your longest run? In my day 21/22 was always the mark before dialling down.
Rested today after waking up and feeling a bit too tired so did a few weights etc instead

Thanks Steve, yes the 21 miles was our longest training run.
I see you are making the most of your "rest day" by lifting weights. 🏋️‍♂️

As you probably expected, I'm having a rest day today, and definitely not lifting any weights 😁

Hope your ok after your 21 and enjoying a well deserved rest day.
Intervals today 3 x 1200 at 5k pace with 400 recoveries. Warm up and warm down made it a 5. Still no green tick for the month and slipping further down the table but trying to trust the plan.

Can't believe how dark it is this evening.
