Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

No running again today (travelling home) and now teetering on edge of the 1000 mile league table podium.
Grandparenting delights over.
Hope to get started again tomorrow ...

I had a lean week as also had 3 x grandchildren.

I have Fulborne hospital in my planner in April it will be my 151st venue if I do all in the planner before. I can’t seem to get ahead of the target line at all.

LL, 151 parkrun venues, amazing! I've only run 131 and 10 locations.

No league table podium for me Peter. Didn’t know this was a race! Still going around in par after a 14k run in the heat including some wading down the river where the path gives up.

Had a horrible run today. Slow and sluggish.

Jury duty starts tomorrow. I spent 9hrs this week planning my cover lessons for the next two weeks.

Fingers crossed for plea deal and early jury dismissal @Mrsbridgewater

A9 quiet, ferry crossing unexpectedly smooth and uneventful trip home. Even managed to "pay our respects." to the Duke of Sutherland on Ben Bhraggie.

It's not!

Just a bit of light hearted fun and banter.

What a great park run location total LL. There are three park runs close to me, one 0.75 miles away, one 1.5 miles away and another 3 miles away and I've avoided them all!!!
A race EarlyRiser?! As Peter says it's a bit of banter ...and I love seeing how the table changes during the year. You never know what turns up to change things!
Well done on a 14k in the heat.
Pity about your horrible run Mrsb though I'm sure that's rare and almost a one off. Hope the jury service is straightforward and you don't end up with an extended case.
At last back in shorts hs, same here today. 4.7 miles keeps you well on track.

Sorry for my lack of chatting I have been feeling a bit bleurgh and not been on socials as much (easy habit to get into and at some point I’ll be back to work)

So much news from you all! Wow to your Russia trip EdG, brilliant pictures and your son is giving you the best x-training! How is the vibe out there?

Jack, Yorkshire Dales/Moors you could well get snow and as others have said the shorter days too. The Winter Spine is ran up the Pennine Way mid Jan and they can get very extreme weather.

My friend and I are aiming to do West Highland Way this year, giving ourselves best part of a week to do it and enjoy it and hopefully a bit of down time at the end. Tiree Ultra is in my radar too.

Lots of good running and parkrunning being done so a collective well done, hope you’re ok post fall Steve and the new shoos give you a spring and in your step.

So me… still sitting still majority of the time but I am able to do a bit more now, so I’ve done a couple of very short walks and I’ve been doing upper body workouts with weights to keep some fitness. Off for a sports massage today as my back shoulders hips are so achy from all the sitting. I’m def bored of this now and struggling justifying still being off work as technically it’s only my foot but I’ll have another week then I may do a hour or so now and again.

Well done EarlyRiser for your 14k in the heat.

Good to hear that you are running in shorts again Steve.

Well done GG for keeping up your efforts to maintain your fitness.

A very slow solo 3.3 miles on flooded in places roads and paths. I cut the run short as it was horrible running through deep water, and mud round the perimeters when trying to avoid the deep water. It must have rained very heavily during the night. I was glad to get home 🏡
