6.8 miles this evening so 998.4 for the year & I shall definitely be going out tomorrow despite the rubbish forecast. I could probably have forced myself to do the extra mile & a half today but what the hell? Why not take it to the wire? 😂

Looking forward to that finish Cheeky's Dad!
Finished my year on another short outing (1.71!!) and pleased to have streaked for 6 months, it began on 1st July.

All that needs to be written now then....of course... is best wishes to everyone here on the thread and thanks for keeping me going during 2024. Thanks too for the encouraging mails from several inspirational runners here.
Good running to you all during 2025.

Great photo, @hillstrider.

Awesome streak, @steve45. Well done on the 6 months.

@Cheeky’s Dad right down to the wire, but you’ve got this!

My better half and I are away for a few days in the Victorian Alps. We have just cracked open a bottle of Rosé and a cheese platter. Can’t think of a better way to see in the new year!

CD, go for it, you know that you want to 😁

Congratulations Steve for your 6 month streak. You have turned out day after day, no matter the weather, nor how you were feeling 👍👍

Thanks for your best wishes to us all, and the same to you and Torey 😀

Thanks JackFW, it was a tough hilly trail run, but we all enjoyed it 😀

I hope that you and your better half have a great time in the Victorian Alps. Cheers 🍷🍷

I've finished off 2024 with the usual Tuesday Farmers Walk 😁 and will be celebrating New Years Day with the Lymington Woodside parkrun, weather permitting. The forecast isn't good, strong winds and heavy rain 🌨🌬

Happy New Year everyone, and here's to another years running, Cheers 🍻

Well done everyone, you should all be proud of your achievements this year. Hope to see you all here again next year. There are 62 followers of the thread, if you don't post please feel free to say hello and join us.

I was out this morning for a hilly trail run up the local hill. It was windy and wet, the mud made it a slower run. Great fun with good company. We went down one track that I haven't been down for a few years (it was closed for forestry work), it was sad to see it that way as it used to be lovely.

This is it now, I don't have a before.

Anyway finishes the year on 1161 miles, happy with that.

Happy New Year to you all when it comes round.

A couple of blustery miles and I’m over the line with a whole 11 hours to spare 😁 Total for the year 1000.6. It looked a long way off even a few weeks ago so I’m happy with that. Thanks everyone for your encouragement. Looking forward to sharing the 2025 adventure with you all

Hello, I'm sheepishly putting my head around the door and asking if I can join in again please?

I have had a shocking year! I have done some amazing things (eclipse watching, camino walking, Chicago marathon) but on the whole 2024 is one I will be happy to consign to the bin! And while 2025 doesn't look like it is going to be much better it may well be the year that I make some proactive decisions about work - or more accurately about giving up work.

I will try and keep on top of the posts on this forum - but initially that might be a challenge as I will be starting work full time on 6th January. I wish you all the best for 2025!

Well done Lesley for this mornings hilly trail run. It looks like a tough course.

Congratulations for this years total mileage.

Well done CD for achieving the 1000 miles target plus 0.6 mile.

The Lymington Woodside parkrun has been cancelled because of the adverse weather forecast.

Just checked, despite having a whole 6 weeks of walking and no running at all, I made it to 1000 miles this year. Somehow I've gone from someone who religiously/obsessively tracked mileage and kit usage to someone who hasn't got a clue how far she has run this year! Or how many miles my trainers have done....
