Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

That is a good question Loo I thought it but didn’t ask.

So we are now southward bound it’s raining I’m sick of crap weather and no doubt don’t have the right clothes packed - ever the optimist.

So to catch up the benefits of a trail run is def using all the muscles and a big difference when I’ve done trail marathons to road I don’t ache the next day after trail.

I went out this morning. I woke with a sore calf and thought I’ll give it a go. Felt ok so did the planned interval session, I was aware of the calf but my god I knew about it when I got home. 2 45min sessions with the compression boots and some massage gun and it’s a lot better. Long run due tomorrow I’ll see how it is if necessary I’ll walk it.

Good 12m FF dreading facing the St Ives nettles they were terrible at the last trip, goodness knows what they’ll be like now

Hope we all have a good weekend and fingers crossed this rain does one soon.

Your busy world continues gg! Ouch to the calf niggle and fingers crossed for everything being ok especially for your planned long run. Forget about sunshine! And...if you've got a niggle which could turn into an injury take a day or two off!
I lurked on RW forums for a short while but thank goodness I didn't stay...the tendency to spend far too much time on a screen changed my mind.
FF's favourite weathering this morning and I considered not going out! I donned the rain jacket, it poured with heavy showers and gave a nice rainbow during the 3.4 outing. In just one overnight period of rain the trails have big puddles again 😂.

Sorry to hear about the sore calf GG. I hope it "holds up" during todays long run.

Well done Steve for this mornings 3.4 miles in the rain.

I managed to do this mornings Farmers Walk before the rain, but it is raining hard, on and off now. I'm meeting up with some running friends for a pub lunch in the village. It's a 1.5 mile walk each way, but if the rain persists, I might be tempted to drive. I don't want to though, as I fancy a beer with the meal, but won't drink and drive, even it's only the one.
