Sorry I’m away and way too much to comment individually. Glad you avoided being hit Lesley. Well done everyone some great running. A little 5k for me this morning in Rhodes absolutely beautiful but had to get out early to beat the heat.

Oh enjoy Rhodes one of the few foreign countries we go back to. But it does get super hot but early is so peaceful too.
2hr run today with 2 x 30min at pace, really enjoyed the change. My legs, however, feel like they need oiled after yesterday I can barely get up and down steps 🤣 apparently some underused quad muscles have been activated.

Crikey how did I miss that you were almost hit by a van that must have been scary. I’m beginning to see lots of illegal parking in double yellow lines then also double parking - to go to the pub then drive home and while some may not drink one lady recently quaffed a bottle of wine with be pal before heading off in the car. It leads to not caring at lights, crossings or roundabouts and two incidents lately where a car didn’t stop at the crossing we were waiting at (he was oblivious to us waiting) and another car jumping a red light and just say missing the oncoming car and people parking outside said pub driving wrong side of the road and cutting the roundabout. The police just drive past and don’t even challenge. Scary.
Pub for a chat and a beer is a perfect almost rest day hs and lots of good walking miles.
I stopped at the supermarket during my run to do the shopping my backpack gets well filled up and I get some odd looks.

You do what my wife does gg! Goes into supermarket sometimes on way back home from a run! Not quite as regular as hs Farmer's Walk though!! My outing of 8 miles this morning was my furthest since September 2021 and takes me past 500 for the year which was my revised target a couple of months ago . Pleased with that and it was the perfect day with cool weather, 7c, clear skies and no wind .

Well done LL for yesterday's 5k in Rhodes.
Well done GG for yesterday's 2 hours run, incorporating 2 x 30 minutes efforts.
Sounded a bit like a Farmers walk with your backpack full of shopping.
Well done Steve for this mornings 8 miles, taking you past 500 miles for the year.
It was quite chilly this morning, but lovely and sunny 🌞. We were back to our local parkrun this morning, running on the revised course which is 4 hilly laps. The finish was at the top of a hill. I heard a runner behind me making a real effort to overtake me, but I was determined not to let that happen, as I always attempt a sprint finish. Some of the already finishers were cheering me on, so I knew that it was a fight to the finish and I opened a slight gap.I crossed the finish line first, and was pleased to discover that it was a teenage lady that I had held off. My devotion to hill training certainly paid dividends this morning.
Two of my running friends will be running in the GSR tomorrow, so I will be following their progress on the app.

There are some idiot drivers out there Lesley, I'm pleased you and your friend are ok.
An excellent 8 miles Steve, well done, you're progressing nicely. Congratulations on passing the revised 500m target.
Excellent running hillstrider out running a young lad. Your training is always beneficial and you rarely just 'go for a run' it always seems to be a training run.
22.13 for my parkrun this morning and just over 6 miles in total.

Wow 8m Steve you’re consistent running and it’s paying off. We’ll done on passing the 500
hs I bet that young lass was thinking heck this chap is fast! Well done holding the lead, the training you put in is brilliant & inspiring. I don’t have that much of a competitive spirit, it comes out occasionally when I’m at parkrun maybe I need to go more to train it in.
I had the worst DOMS ever from the leg session I did on Thursday, Fridays long run I could feel them and after the 2nd set of 30min the cool-down was a struggle. I couldn’t walk properly yesterday, I felt like I needed some poles to keep me upright my husband found it hilarious, I struggled a slow 4m (had to run upto 1hr) and we then did a walk with Ellie via a couple of beer gardens and happy to report after the walk (& some stretching through the day) my legs feel much better today - just in time for the 2[IMAGE241080]nd workout of the week 😬
Half marathon with my pal next weekend so it’s a cut back week apparently (but I am holding on to my hope that I manage to get the miles needed for the 1500 although it’s looking unlikely if I’m honest)
Have a good Sunday and hope your pals have a good GSR hs. Enjoy dot watching
