I remember your first Boston Mrsb and reading the excitement around it all! Berlin then, a fast course and well worth a break of promise! Thanks for alluding to "everyone" running well hs....you forgot I'm not in that league currently (possibly any more😂). The weather didn't look so good for your park run but that was still a pretty good time. Well done on yours too LL. Wonderful morning after three mornings of drizzle and almost Spring like, my chest didn't get sore, but neither ought it over such a such a short outing. 1.5 miles but my highest week (12 miles😂) since the first week of January. Gonna be a long journey back to decent miles. |

I also agree about editing, and also the lack of ability to save as a draft, and come back later to finish off. Sorry to have embarrassed you Steve, but you are still running, and that is the main thing. Distance and pace doesn't come into it. Well done for managing 12 miles, this week, which I'm sure will increase, week on week. It's a lovely sunny morning, but I'm not running. I feel that I need to take more rest days, so that my running doesn't suffer too much. I'll be running with the Monday Group tomorrow. |

A rather large blister on my left heel from walking yesterday put paid to me running this morning until my wife asked how I placed my foot when running. After considering the question I decided to go for a run around the block, just a short 3.8 miles and I returned having done 13.1 with no blister issues. Apparently I don't run like I walk which is a bonus. A rather heavy week of 43.9 miles which has quite surprised me, my highest mileage week since last August. |

18 very slow miles this morning in rather lovely weather. I was a little concerned as I ended up running 7 yesterday, but it was nice to end the half term with a long run - especially as I am working next Saturday. Maybe brave and see where that puts me on the tracking page… |

That is a lot of miles FF great to see and also good news on the blister. And an 18m is a great long run I need to get my long runs back on track. I’ve arrived at Heathrow on way to meet my new team (even though I know them anyway) and get set up with all things needed here. It was a shock to have a 4am alarm call esp as I woke at 3.30 so a nana nap on the plane. I will see if I can get a little run in an an evening. Have a great week all. |

So you don't run like you walk FF😂! If you put the zip you have in running into your walking you'd be a great race walker! Well done on managing that blister and putting in the miles. Thanks hs, you didn't embarrass me but I know the reality of my place/pace/miles! It just "is". Wise of you factoring appropriate rest days, it's clearly paying off . Fabulous 18 miler Mrsb. I notice you don't do any intermediate distances these days. You're obviously in good nik to do long runs without putting mid week stress on your body. No running for me today, am coughing a bit again. The lung thing (partially collapsed but only small scale) needs to be sorted out now. Heck, one thing after the other! |

Steve, when walking like almost everyone my heel goes down first, when I'm running I must land on my full/mid foot as the blister didn't affect my running just my walking. Small issue at work last night but okay this morning around the house anyway. I hope you manage to get your lung sorted soon. |

I'm not dropping to bits gg! I have dropped!! Can't drop any further 😂. I'm hoping that the identified "subsegmental atelectasis" will heal itself. But if this is how it's going to be then I'll carry on regardless! A lot of people who run are heel strikers (as we all know) FF and it was once thought that landing more in the forefoot was more efficient although some study last year concluded that being a heel striker made little difference to long distance pace or getting injured. I think we all get "more up on our toes/mid foot naturally as we run faster. Managed 3.5 miles this morning and it was nice to see blooming daffodils about. |
