Well done hillstrider for your good deed, your run and fortitude to not join the other club runners.
There are a lot of stupid, inconsiderate people around.

Definitely a good deed just hope people are considerate enough to think about where they park and more so that people are careful not to cause a fire at anytime and particularly in such dry & hot conditions.

I was disappointed to see someone discard a lit cigarette on Snowdon yesterday. They didn’t even extinguish it.

All in all it was fairly free of litter but I don’t get why smokers think it’s ok to throw butts away.

Butt it gets rid of it out of their way (sorry, poor joke). Inconsiderate to the area up there and anywhere come to that matter.

It just seems in general to be accepted. I don’t know many smokers these days but the ones I do would never throw litter but do seem to discard cigs.

It is an offence to drop cigarette butts on the ground and offenders that are caught are usually fined.

The local council employ people to catch those discarding rubbish, cigarette butt's and spitting and issue instant fines.

Good deed and good run hs.
Cigarette butts...litter..Arghhh. I am a so called signed up "litter champion" and I collect litter from various places during the week mainly along the trails/places where I run. It's quite unbelievable how much litter of all kinds continues to be callously thrown in just any kind of environment. Never ceases and despite all the talk about a cleaner, greener world .
5k at 6.30 am was fresh and pleasant, quite a few people running at this time and missing the 30-32c we get later in the day. Still only plodding though but what the heck!

Well done Steve for being a champion litter picker and running an early morning 5k.

No farmers walk this morning, as I drove into the village for a hair cut, and then to the supermarket. I took the opportunity to buy extras as I wouldn't have to walk with them. I'll have to do some press ups to make up for it

I hate cigarette butts too. Fed up seeing rubbish everywhere. Our nearest MacDonalds is almost 20 miles away and the amount of rubbish from that restaurant round here is unreal. Good for you picking it up Steve.

No run today, row and core work this morning. Not so hot today but still quite warm.

Hoping to Parkrun again tomorrow.
