GG runner world decided to give everyone 3 days notice that they were closing the forum, it hasn’t been the same since an update about 5 years ago but a few of us were still using it.

If you log your runs on here and set a goal there is a lovely table (linked below or side bar if your on a computer) that you can see your total and how much you are over/under target.

I was on RW forums back in 2011/2012, but long left them. I am also on strava if anyone wants to find me fmail me (fetch private messaging service). I am not a huge fan of strava - too many egos round my way.

Dubairunner, I agree that RW was never the same after the so called upgrade. We left in droves over to fetch, but I still posted on both platforms, until yesterday.

As I posted yesterday, welcome to all you RW guys who've joined. Fetch is fabulous...
As for RW I've had the magazine itself for years and it's gone downhill in my opinion although I appreciate it's difficult for a magazine of its kind to maintain a focus which suits everyone.I only get it because its a free subscription via my bank!

Thanks for reminding me about meds Lesley, if they don't work then long COVID has won and its a permanent run walk situation to continue with!
It rained heavily early this morning but the sun has arrived now. Bit brrr in the rain again , intended a five miler but left it at 3.5 miles along part muddied puddles trails .Nice relaxed outing though . I wore my old Hokas (1030 miles on the clock) and they felt better than my current Saucony pairs which I've been finding have lost their cushioning after just 200 miles.

Hey everyone,

I’m Jack from Melbourne. I also received the boot from RW and had posted regularly on the 1000 miles thread this year and last.

Look forward to continuing the relationship with the old RW regulars and meeting you Fetch posters.

Today was a big day for me. I completed the Surf Coast Trail Marathon from Torquay to Fairhaven. It was my second Marathon but first on trail.

800m elevation gain. 4:53 time on the feet. It was a fantastic day, but it was a tough course involving running along five or so beaches, undulating terrain and narrow trails with roots, rocks and some technical bits. The weather was perfect and I finished injury free (I think) so a great day out.

I look forward to contributing on here going forward and hearing about your running adventures.

YTD - 696 miles.

I haven't purchased the RW mag for several years now Steve. It definitely went down hill, in my opinion. I believe that the Trail Running mag is no longer published. I used to like that one.

Well done for this mornings 3.5 miles in the rain. I'm amazed that your old Hokas haven't fallen apart.

Hi JackFW and welcome.

Well done for your 4.53 time in the Surf Coast Trail Marathon, it definitely sounds like a very tough course.

I didn't parkrun this morning, as the two friends that I was going to run with, chickend out because of the heavy rain and strong winds. I therefore decided to run a solo 5k on roads. I was quite pleased with my 29.14, in the conditions, and my 3rd mile was the quickest, average 9.07 minute miling. If miles one and two had been similar, I would have run sub 28 minutes, a time that I haven't managed for several years now.

Dubai... Good to see you as well. Have you gone through the 'procedures' for posting on this thread; your posts seem to have a note about possibility of 'spam'. You need to go through a simple registration.

Same for you Sid-don; your posts are showing that they are possibly 'spam'.
Good to see you over here.
