Good that you're back here Evangel. That's pretty special that your wife did a ten miler. As for getting back speed..for my part I'm never going to get it back to a point where I'm satisfied on any level, those days are gone! But I enjoy being consistent and plugging away at the target. Looking forward to you ticking off those 1,000 next year and keeping us up to date!

902 done (pending Garmin actually uploading ((Grrr))!). The end is in sight - although there's the "stretch" of achieving 100 per month on average, still!

Ooh, now there's a thought Peter..... although it might be easier to plan it in for 2019! Wear your heaviest trainers. And don't do anything you probably shouldn't!

Ran the Solent Half Marathon route this morning with 4 club mates. Perfect running conditions. A bit chilly first thing, but bright and sunny and soon warmed up. I'm feeling quite up beat now for the Oakhaven Forest Half Marathon, a week on Sunday.

Not sure what I wrote before autocorrect mutilated last message. Well it was exhilarating tonight being blown backwards at points, but 4 went out and 4 returned. The ride across the beach with a tail wind was the best part.

Was it the same 4 who came back? I often say that as long as I count the same number of children coming back as I left with we must be doing OK!

LOL MrsB.
I grew up in a family of 7 (latterly 8) alongside another family of 7. We were always in and out of each others houses. Our mothers used to say they'd count 7 in for meals (whether Fs or Ts)
Risk Assessment has changed since my school days too: we used to go on school day trips to London from Manchester as teenagers, getting the early train to and the *last* train back. We were largely left to our own devices to explore London (and its watering holes!) with the only recommendation that we stayed in groups. Amazingly we always managed to return to Euston to catch last train home. Never sure what Plan B would have been!

There are 7 in this house (or were until the two eldest went to university) plus a part time 8th (my father in law). I spend my entire life counting....

We're about at the same miles Mmm..I'm on 909 and the 1,000 not far away. And we're both on the 100 thread too! I'm not too bothered about 100 in December this year, trying to be a bit more realistic in respect of ability and stuff going on.
I seem to have lived in relative human isolation compared with Mrsb and Peter!
