Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Some nice miles coming in already this month, great to see! Thanks for all the good wishes after the marathon and apologies for being awol, work went a bit full-on which wasn't really the recovery plan I had in mind!

Still no running since Sunday for me, though I have now walked downstairs without complaints from my left quad :-) I'm just starting a part-time MSc and have teaching today, tomorrow and Saturday, so the trek into class each day will keep things moving until an easy run at the weekend.

A slow and gentle recovery makes sense, CasB.

Good alternative CasB hope the quad is ok. My legs have been fine but end of my run today the left quad had a grumble. Foam roller for me today.

5m with Geordiemum before work spotted a kingfisher for first time in our park so a great start to the day.

Absolutely Ness, it's actually quite nice to have no pressure to go for a run :-)

Sounds like you're recovering well gg, hope the foam roller sorts out the last few niggles. How fab to see a kingfisher!

Got on pretty well thank you - didn't get my 'A' target, but still came away with a PB, so I can't complain too much! Plenty to think about for whenever there's a next time. I managed to spot everyone I knew who'd come to spectate which was fab, and the crowds were nearly deafening in some places!
