I'm also a lurker without much to say most of the time, but I plan to keep on lurking next year too! I like the arbitrary targets!
On 97 for the month so I should be over the line later today. Running streak unbroken despite all the icy weirdness.
The hibernation urge is strong at the moment though! Much effort of will required...

another morning fail, I put my kit ready to run first thing but another social night out I just didnt have it in me. I am on a half day today, taking mam shopping with sister in law and niece (over from france not seen them in 4 years!) It wont be a late one so I am aiming to go out when I get back. If not I finish for the holidays tomorrow lunchtime and I am feeling like a weight is lifting.... here's hoping.

Well done on keeping the streak this last week hgreav you can hibernate after your run each day :)

targets are good motivators and this thread for the chats :)

So as we are sharing I will confess that since I did something stupid in early November this thread and its pointless arbitrary target are 1 of 2 reasons that I am still doing just about enough running(the other is looking after my woofer). The astute will have notice that I rarely run more than 4 miles whereas I was out doing 90 min plus runs consistently.

I am fortunate right now it's cx season so my bikes are taking up ALL the slack :-)

This thread over the years has got me out the door so many times, so for that I am very grateful as I don't ever remember regretting doing a run. Love reading everyone else's ups and downs just showing that we are all in similar struggles at some point.

Questionable life choices this morning, we have a number of club Xmas challenges and as I missed the track session earlier this month I felt the need to do one. So there is a disused old 'track' about a mile away from home, started in the dark and it's basically like doing XC. Not that easy to see where the track is. Anyway managed to trot around the session of 1200, 1100,1000.......100 - A 12 days of Xmas themed session :-) I think I enjoyed it, but certainly questioned it a number of times as I splashed my way around trying to work out where to stop.

99/100 - Bit of a tease. Should be ok to hit the 1500 for the year as well.

Well done all.

My 10 miler this morning took me over the line this morning. Gives me a total of 100.4 for the month. Will be easing back for the rest of the month. Only doing short runs. Recovery time until I start race prep in January! :)
