I am intrigued about what the shoes would feel like to run in - but don’t feel I could justify the cost based on how I’m running at the moment. Last year wasn’t a great year running-wise, and my times at all distances nose-dived. I’ve started to improve a bit this year - but at the moment think there are other factors I’d need to work on first - like losing weight, doing more (some!) strength and conditioning work. Maybe if I can get on top of those elements and get back to (or closer to) the times I was running in 2017 & 2018 I may consider the Vaporfly. Although given my running style and over probation tendencies maybe I’d just end up massively injured if I tried them!

You are on probation, Jenny? My times have nose dived over the last couple of years. Which I’m putting down to far fewer miles, (no marathoning) rather than just being past it. I’m desperately clinging to the idea that I have a few PBS left in me yet, but can’t for the life of me work out how to unlock them!

I'm willing to lend my Vaporfly 4% to anyone who's interested in trying them, wears a size 5 in Nike, and doesn't have smelly feet. They ARE a big financial commitment.

8 this morning, managed to get the 4th corner on WSW and take the lead again, having quite a good game this week.

Fab to find out from someone what Vaporfly4% feel like, thanks Velociraptor. I reckon that if I were forty years younger then I'd be snapping up a pair but any time I do now is neither here nor there in the scheme of pb's--I'll never do a pb again and happy enough with the historical times scrawled in my logbooks! Just squeezing the last few miles out of a pair of Saucony Jazz (1,000 miles) which don't have much kindness left in them. Good to se e you here Lefromage after seeing you top of the leaderboard on the 1,000 thread for a while! Glad you've put your mark down on yet another local Park Run jenny--I see Charlotte Arter broke the female "world record" for a Park Run in our local area yesterday..15.49. That's shifting and it must have been windy too.
