3.1/100. Run properly rather than tail walking this month.

Great work as ever Ness, and well done all
7/100 - pacing at parkrun was tough today in the wind, 10 secs too fast I think which is a bit disappointing. But will try again in a few weeks.

5/100, 7th place at parkrun and a course PB (30 seconds improvement on a week ago). Really pleased with the start to the month!

Thanks for the roundup Ness as always. Great start Roberto Badger and westmoors. Poor start by me (!)..slogged out just 3.7 but at least it's started the month! I think I'll throw away my daps and get some of those Nike at ยฃ240! I wonder then when ALL running shoes will have that extra zoom--if one is chasing a pb why be handicapped by shoes that don't give you the edge? I'm not sure what I think about them really...

I have some of the extra-zoom Nike (Vaporfly 4%) because I'd always have wondered if I hadn't tried them. And I like them. They're very light and comfortable and they definitely provide some oomph on the flats and uphills, but at the cost of feeling less stable on the downhills and therefore making it more difficult to let fly and use the gravity.
Unexpectedly, I'm a bit reluctant to wear them except when I'm going for a PB because as a clinging-on-to-the-midpack runner I think I must look a bit of an all-the-gear twit in them. Since the 4% is now several models back in the range I should really just toughen up and wear them all the time.

Thanks Ness for the roundup ๐๐
A parkrun start to the month with WU/CD @ 6.2 miles. Saving legs a little for a HM tomorrow.
