Possibly the only achievement in Fetch that isn't rewarded by the granting of badges, we are now in the Nth year of trying to get 10,000 of them. The blue shapes represent the number of different places we have exercised in, a place being an area of - someone correct me - maybe 50m^22 or 100m^2, and only as recorded on a GPS-tracked excursion.

Find your blue shapes in the training log in three simple steps: at the top, change the date to "All 2023". On the next line, set a filter if you only want to include running, and beneath the list of all the years you have run in, select MAPS from the line that says Entries/Calendars/Graphs/Maps/Totals.

A map will appear. In the top frame of the map, there is a line saying You have explored nnnnn circles during this period of training. This thread is for those of us who are aiming to get nnnnn to be 10,000 or more in 2023.

As a guide, in 2022 I had 11,000 circles in 700 miles of running.

I'm in again. 2022 was my best ever year, mostly thanks to walking and cycling, so I need to get a few more running blue shapes in 2023.

I'll have a go for 2023 and hope to do better than this year's pathetic 7000+

Thanks, ChrisHB :) I'm in again. I like this non-competitive challenge, it makes me think about running, walking and cycling in different places. I got over 10000 blue circles just for running for the first time in 2022, and will keep the same targets for 2023 - 10000 for running, 25000 for all activities.

Oh yes please. I haven't checked 2022 final total. Next year we have hiking holidays in the Italian and Swiss alps, plus perhaps,a leg of the SWCP, all pretty linear routes, ysmy usual hiking....yes it helps you consider other places, even if local.
