Paras10 with mam for her 80th birthday wish to do it. She has been struggling with cramp in her left calf but sports therapist said it wasn’t anything more than being prone to cramp so she was ok to do it. But less than 1/2m in it cramped and she struggled with it. But she was determined to get round and having my poles meant she could do it. Couple of bad cramping moments but we got round.
So many people wished her a happy birthday as they passed (they announced it just as we left the start line) and one group sang to her. And they made such a big deal of her but she’s now admitted it was her last one. Makes me sad but you know she’s done more than most her age had she stated running before she was 60 she’d have been unstoppable. Proud daughter!

Thanks all it was a struggle for mam but so proud of her for digging deep and getting it done.
Yes Ness and with the recent rain it was thigh deep we didn’t go through it as mam couldn’t see what was there and good job I didn’t go in as she got really bad cramp and got stuck until I managed to ease it off for her.

No, GG. The photo was uploaded on to Fetch then but I did it some years prior to that. I want to do it again but I've got to convince Mr Ness.

just looking at the stats, she did every alternate mile quicker mile 9 can't believe it took 32min but it was the super TOUGH hill and she had cramp along the way so we did stop for a quite a few minutes.
So pleased your Mam was able to complete this maybe she won’t do this one again but I’m sure she’ll keep going. Well done both xx
