Mrs Jigs (Luverlylegs) Lovely run in the sunshine, wind was a bit cruel and icy in places, pace was faster than planned but it just felt so good! PB by 6+ mins, won my category as well :-)

PhilB66 A dream race! Cold, but sunny and thus perfect for such a long run, though a bit of a breeze from the East (which was noticeable when in face, but not when behind!). Had thought that I would be able to do 7:30 miles at best over this distance. First few miles significantly faster than I had planned - concerned I was going too fast, but felt comfortable. Backed off to mid 7:20s, but felt strong at 15miles and decided to up the pace again. 5mile splits: 35:43 (7:08), 36:58 (7:23), 36:23 (7:16), 34:27 (6:52) Negative 10mile splits both beat PB for 10 miles. 7:09 average meant new best time for all distances from 9 - 20 miles! Finished 55th of 285 finishers; 22nd Vet Man and 3rd BSRC.

Roma Not raced this distance before, using it as a training run for the Suffok Coastal. Update - training run thing did not work out. First 10 miles too fast, second 10 slowed down a lot. Overall a good pb though!!
