We are a friendly, active running club open to all abilities of runners over 18. Normal training meets are on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and start at 7pm prompt.
Our members run both socially and competitively, in all disciplines, and at all levels. So, whatever your standard, come along and run with us, there will always be someone to run with you.
The best night to get to know us are our famous Tuesday sessions where have 4 groups led and trailed by UKA qualified Running Leaders. Each group has a target pace (ranging from quite modest to pretty snappy) with coordinated stops so that you can change group during the run.
For many years we have run from Blackstones Sports and Social Club on Lincoln Road in Stamford but at the end of March we said (with regrets) our goodbyes to Blackstones and moved to our new home at The Borderville Sports Centre.
One a year we put on a free 10 week Beginners Course which takes absolute beginners from around a mile up to around 5 miles - many beginners chose to join the club at the end but this is entirely up to the individual. This year the course starts on 19th May - at Borderville Sports Centre

Club Sessions
Tuesday
The Striders Tuesday Run
What: 4 paced groups led by UKA qualified Running Leaders, usually with a trailing leader bringing up the rear of each group. We plan 4 co-ordinated stops so that you can move up or down groups during the course of the session. Our Tuesday sessions are a really good chance to get to know other club members, discuss training tips etc. Ideal for a recovery run after a weekend race.
Where: Borderville Sports Centre, Ryhall Road, Stamford - or when the Football Team is playing at home we will run from The Cattle Market, which is just on the south ide of Stamford Meadows - check on the day or day before under the Running with Striders menu.
When: Every Tuesday, 7.00 pm sharp

Hill Repeats Sessions
What: Structured effort sessions of either hard interval work or hill work, designed to give you that extra boost of speed when you most need it in a race. Come along, run at your own level, and you`ll soon start to notice the difference in your times. A sure way to improve your PBs.
