la bandit This has been my toughest marathon in all my years of running ,I knew I couldn't take this one lightly as the temperatures were due to hit 26 degrees all day,having done this marathon last year I knew that there was hardly any shady parts to the course.Carried gels ,water and also sun tan cream which was a godsend.The checkpoints here are brilliant with loads of water,cakes and jelly babies,my plan was walking the hills and running the flats,met some great people throught out this marathon and you get the feeling of all pulling together through some tough times.great scenic course with beautifully villages,at 31 miles I really went through a bad patch and walked some flat for a while but I'm sure this got me to the finish line which near the end of this marathon seemed a long way away.
