tim1979 Really diasappointing! Poor self control tempted me onto the beers on Saturday night and that made it a real struggle. On the verge of walking on a number of occasions but plodded on. A hilly, unforgiving course meant a PB was always unlikely and a tough game of hockey the day before added to that. I will crack 40 minutes this year though!

Honley Lion This is the first time that I have done a 10K race on an identical course - this is a tough 10K, described as undulating but is in fact quite hilly with a long downhill finsh. Knocked 4 minutes off last year's time so quite pleased with that.

beginner1 Ha-Ha! Would never have predicted 52 mins for myself if I had bothered to look at teh runners world blogs about the course i.e very hilly! However, actually v pleased with myself as a beginner 'cos' i managed to run it all overtake a few(not many) on hills and only mere seconds behind my only other 10K which was pretty flat. Enjoyed the challenge! May do Dewsbury 10k next weekend -also flat, I understand-see what time i can manage :)
