BDR Not sure how, but with very little and slow running training I managed a PB! Obviously training is overrated. If it wasn't for the older gentleman in front of me during the race (who I tried to keep up with) I probably wouldn't have managed it. Later found out he was in the over 70's - well done that man!

Lakes First race since injury in April so don't waste your credits. UPDATE. Well that went better than I expected and I really enjoyed it. What was particularly satisfying was friends getting pbs and the performances of those who ran from our beginners group.

Lieutenant Lucerne PB should be possible. Managed an average pace of 4m09s/km on an undulating 10k route in April, so even at the same pace on this flat 5K I would get a PB.
UPDATE. Was able to beat my previous PB by a comfortable margin. A fast and crowded first 1K was followed by a steadier second and a slower third (the course climbs slightly in the middle). Picked up the pace for the last 2Kms and while it wasn't quite a sprint finish, I avoided being overtaken in the last 200m.

Lycra Hurricane A hard race, but I kept the pace up thoughout and finished strongly. A very enjoyable evening, and the reward of a fine hamburger and beer afterwards!

Mr BDR My first race of the year, after my foot injury. I felt loads better than I expected and managed to go quite a bit quicker than I hoped and fairly consistent pacing too!

No.8 ™ 9th overall, first men's team and all things considered have to be happy, as I couldn't have done anymore. Thought I had PB'd until I checked now and I was 7 seconds out!

Schnecke Hoping a new PB should be possible, as it is a very flat course. Have broken 10K and half-mara PBs this year, would like another to add to the set! Update - it hurt a lot, but I did it! Time is from stopwatch, as no results up yet.

Silvershadow After all this training with the club I shall be disappointed if I don't beat last summer's RFL time.
I ran all the way!!! Had a great time. Good to meet Schneke and Runnyeyes before the race and MRF afterwards as well as all the Harriers and Harrier/Fetchies.
