DANBERT Well i did it but what a grueller it was. Having done 6 months 'proper' training and remembering how i'd had to drag myself out when it was cold and wet to get the training miles in each week i was always going to cross that bloody finish line in Wythenshawe Park. I'm now very tired, very sore and quite emotional but above all, jubilant. It was absolutely fantastic to finish in under 4 hours (which had always been my goal.) The hardest part came at around 21 miles on the A34 at Didsbury when the physical battle switched to become a mental one instead .....but i did it.
