runningman69 I did'nt know the course so took it easy going up the hills, decided to go for it from around 3 miles. Must of passed at least 15 runners on the down hill,very stong finishing. I will be back next year for this one.

FrightenedMan Achilles tendon area still sore after faulty Pegasus so didn't push too hard. Also didn't really race, fast training run. Ascents felt good at HR 168-170. Remembered some chi stuff, especially better relaxation and arms. Descent form didn't feel right.

WildeRover I don't know whether it was the effect of the heat, or after effects from my 10K pb on Sunday - but that was just slow. It didn't even go 'wrong'. Everything felt as though it was paced well, I didn't run out of steam particularly, I gave it my all.............it was just a bit slow. Never mind - I placed well against others that I would expect to measure myself against, so I guess it was the heat and we all suffered a bit from it.
