bigwhite A great venue, well supported and the weather was good too. Was hoping for a better time; 3 miles in and I felt like walking. Legs felt so heavy and my chest was burning. Such is life. Enjoyed it all the same.

blacknail chris Don't know whether to be happy or sad about this; took nearly 30 seconds or so off my recent fastest time (so technically a PB, given that this is my fastest official time for a 10k) but not enough to dip under 46 damn-it-all! And all for 4 bloody seconds! I feel I should have run the last 1.5k faster. The GN run visualisation thing suggests I was extremely consistently paced after about 2k, until which point I was running too slowly. Scratching my head on this one... The good news is that I came 31st in my age and gender position. I keep forgetting that I'm old and then I get surprised when I can't keep up with club mates who are ten years my junior. Stop press - the race winners said PBs were out of question because of the wind! Guess I'm used to it, living just a bit further up the coast. So maybe without the 'swirling' winds I would be under 46; or is this clutching at straws? Good race though - I'll do it again next year. Now, where's the next one?

DuaneDibbley great day, great event - really enjoyed it. Only my second ever 10k and had hoped for an improvement on my first 10k but it there seemed to be more inclines on this race - wouldn't put me off doing it again next year though!

Slow and Ultra Steady Ran with the gorgeous Lellan in her first in her first 10k and we got round under the hour..Well done Lellan :)

Smellens PB however disappointed not to crack 49 mins, long walk yesterday may have played a part. Good atmosphere with friendly runners. Route undulating not flat as described. Enjoyed the day and will be taking part next year.
