Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I'm loving Zwift, it's so easy to get a good workout at anytime and I haven't even started on any of the structured workouts!

MrW uses Zwitft and he's having a bit of bother with it.

He has a CycleOps smart training that transmits via ANT. He runs Zwift from his MacBook using an ANT dongle. Pretty much everytime he trains, the connection between his computer and the turbo will drop out. He's been in contact with Zwift and they've not been very helpful. Using an ANT converter on his phone, he's tried to use the App but apparently the app doesn't support CycleOps at the moment.

My turbo is Bluetooth so I've suggested he used that next time to see if the same issue occurs, so we can see if it's the computer or the turbo.

Has anyone else had a similar problem?

Sorry I use Bluetooth to the iPad app, non-smart trainer. But I have seen that you need the dongle as close as possible, is it on an extension lead right next to the trainer?

I had loads of connection issues when I first started. I did 3 things and haven't had a drop out since:

- bought a USB extension for the ANT dongle so that it's right next to the turbo
- moved my two Garmin watches as far away as possible
- stopped using the app on my phone

I'm not sure which, if any, of these changes helped.

Thanks all. I've bought him a USB extension so hopefully that will help.

MrW used Zwift last night without any issues, so it looks like moving the ANT dongle closer to the turbo has solved the issue, thanks again.

My Viiiiva heart rate strap arrived today. Much to my shock, it does what it says it does: sucks in Ant+ and spits out Bluetooth.

Hey presto - I can now Zwift on the watt bikes at the gym. Happy days.

GregP - do you use an iPad for that?

My turbo has been with Taxc for repair for the best part of a month :-(
