Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Ah, I see. :)
Forgive my imbecile question - not been able to do much Zwift this last fortnight due to a combination of holidays and being cut off The Internet for more than a week by the idiots at Plusnet.

I have a week in Devon in the rain. I have rollers so I may ride a bit.

Nightmare.

And you’ve gonna have to queue to get back out of there too.

Sucks.

(Should have come to Scotland mate... ;) )

Who has Everested on Zwift here?

What IF (% FTP) did you aim for or achieve?

Time taken?

I’m probably going to have a go later this week. I reckon 15-16hrs is a possible target. 9x AdZ @ 90min with 15 min descent breaks. Other than lots of food on hand: any tips from your experience?

In process of doing research of others online.

FroM the attempts I've seen, it seems to be best to find a steep valley if you can. You can utilise momentum to help you up each side if you keep doing a u-turn at the peak. Not sure if there is one on any of the Zwift maps though.

The radio tower seems to be the best bet if you can deal with the extra gradient, it's 150m per climb and there's a little valley back up to the road to gain a bit of free elevation on each turn. Up the Epic KOM reverse from the jungle circuit start will give you an extra 400m to start off too.

Around 53-54 ascents of the tower should get you there in under 140km if my quick maths whilst being distracted by a toddler and cooking are good. Considerably shorter than Alpe du Zwift which is around 210km.
