My sister texted me yesterday to say that she had very suddenly got a lot worse - after an afternoon of fetching the ball while they were gardening on Wednesday, she started to have very laboured breathing on Friday morning and this morning they decided it was kindest to have her put to sleep. They are obviously heartbroken. The only comfort is that her real decline was very swift and she was enjoying life until the last 48 hours. We'll miss her too.
