Thats lovely

Marvin had an OK Christmas. He is not great but seemed to enjoy himself at our daughters. Think he is pleased to be back home in the quiet now

What a lovely present.

Flossie is having the best few days. My sister's Lab, Lottie has been here for Chrustmas and they've always been the best of friends playing tuggie etc. Then son2 has left his 2 dogs with us til Saturday while they go on a short hotel break, and Flossie loves going on walks as a 'pack' with Cooper and Polly. She will be shattered by the time life returns to normal though!

She was a wonderful dog. Over Christmas with the children here we've been reminiscing about Labradors we (and my sister) have owned. There have been seven in all, including Flossie and Lottie our current ones, and they have all without exception been wonderful, characterful*, good-natured and patient creatures. All our lives have been made so much better for having a dog in them :-)

* on occasions, substitute 'characterful' for Very Naughty ;-)

Dogs are special companions, aren’t they? We’ve been without Maisy since 17th Dec because her owners are home for Christmas. I’m missing her terribly.

I was in the Co-op yesterday and saw they were selling boxes of mince pies reduced to 50p - well I can't resist a bargain. Long story short, not so much of a bargain when you factor in best part of £100 for a trip to the vet - after Wanda ignored a table full of chicken pieces, sausages, sausage rolls and cheese to go straight for the mince pies....... The only good thing about it was that we got there in regular opening hours rather than pay the out of hours charge!
