Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

It's been so long since Flossie thieved anything in the kitchen I didn't give a second's thought to the unopened packet of Starburst sweets I left on the table last night.

Only the outside wrapper of the tube left (though well chewed) this morning. All flavours, and their waxy individual wrappers, gone :-0

Bel decided to steal a bag of Avocados yesterday apparently, 2 eaten, and another 2 chewed on. Worrying thing is they can be quite poisonous, but considering how much rubbish she eats, and how often she raids the kitchen bin, she seems to have an iron stomach so fingers crossed they don't make her too sick. I'm away for a few days but Rae said she seemed to be her usual self this morning.

Bella got stung in the paw today (we think). Such a palaver trying to get her to let me look at it. Seems fine though, so hopefully not allergic to whatever it was.

Any first aid suggestions for the future?

With stings we’ve been told that an over the counter piriton is as good as any anti-histamine that a vet will give, plus cheaper.

We were advised by vet to treat our 12kg dog with 1 piriton a day…. I’ve no vet qualifications though, so treat this comment as rough guidance!
