Glad you've been able to talk all that through Roberto, it sounds eminently sensible to leave it til Arlo is more mature.
I took Floss to the vet as we were worried that she was returning to 'lumpy' walking after a beautifully even gait a couple of weeks ago. She jumped out of the car and straight back in again when she realised it was the vet standing by the car. He gave her leg a really good palpation and is confident there is nothing wrong with the bone graft or plate. Her thigh muscle has wasted a lot and that combined with OH taking her for a longer, hillier walk than I approved of* at the weekend, has probably just made it a bit achey. It does seem to be improving with shorter, flatter walks yesterday and today.
*I will leave you to imagine the 'discussion' which has ensued between OH and me about this.

I will just say I'm glad I'm not Mr. Daisy.
Hugely pleased Floss is basically doing very well of course!

Glad to hear Flossie is largely doing well. I imagine that conversation is similar to the one in our household after one of the mornings where my first job of the day is to mop dog sick off the kitchen floor then carefully prepare a breakfast of poached chicken and rice, let this cool to a sufficient temperature for a dog's mouth/stomach, adding a 'tummy tablet' to the mix and then leaving the room for five seconds only to come back in to find BaronBR sharing his toast with Wanda 'because she looked like she was feeling better'

Ha, very familiar.
In our house, ‘we should never feed the dog from the table’
Also, ‘do you think he likes Brie?’
Similarly I wasn’t best pleased.

Thats good news about Floss.
Just had what I think was a show of dominance by Arlo. He occasionally swings his head at me if I try and move him/encourage him to move such as going to bed. And he does a little growl but never anything serious and still let's us do it, doesnt bite down or anything.
However, just tried to move him from under the tree as was repeatedly chewing. Swung his head as usual but then raised it and we had a stare off from about 10 inches apart. He held my gaze for about a minute before putting his head down. He then moved before we had a hi 5 and a cuddle.

Glad that Flossie is doing so well
Ralph used to adore the rind from brie and camembert
Husband came home from work, having been talking to his mate who was trying to convince him to buy me a puppy for Christmas - much as part of me would love one, I'm so glad he came home and asked and was happy when I said no, not yet.

We have a "no feeding Skye from our plates" rule, which works in the whole...the problem being that Squeak absolutely CANNOT sit still to eat, nor can she get her food in her mouth, particularly if her face is nowhere near her plate, which is invariably the case. This means that our floor has a veritable feast under her seat & Skye is fully aware of this situation! *sigh*

I'm also glad to hear that Flossie is doing well & hope Mr Daisy takes heed of the "too much too soon" message.

Is Squeak getting on better with Skye now, WL? (Think it was that way round and Pip was great from the start?)

Oh definitely! Skye has settled & stopped teething, which makes a tremendous difference. I do think Pip manages Skye much better than Squeak on the whole, but he also gets accidentally hurt far more often in play with her because he REALLY does play with her. It's gorgeous to watch...until he gets hurt. Squeak would cuddle Skye to death, but isn't great at understanding when it's ok & when it's best to leave her alone...
