Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

It's been dogtastic for me for the last week - being on holiday with Floss, son1's Hattie, son2's Cooper and Polly, and sister-in-law's Cockers Poppy and Mabel :-)

Cooper was so sweet, being 'big brother' to Polly. One of the Cockers, Poppy, is a bit of a grump, and several times was unnecessarily rude to Polly. Cooper simply trotted up and inserted himself between the two dogs, guiding Polly away from Poppy :-)

Cooper sounds a fantastic dog. I wonder if he would like to come and teach Wanda some canine manners!

Next door have taken a puppy labrador into their home and hearts. We met the needle-toothed ball of delight today. He's utterly gorgeous. Interestingly their existing dog, a rescue and quite reserved, has taken to the puppy, told the puppy off in the first few minutes, but is now learning to play games that were outside his repertoire previously. A case of each learning from the other.

I'd now like a labrador...

I want our next dog (which I am not allowed to talk about because BaronBR says such talk upsets him and Wanda) to be a Staff X Labrador (I believe Sharkie once mentioned that Raffo has identified this X as a Stabrador).

However BaronBR is currently of the view he will never want a Staff X anything ever again... lets hope any such decision is a very long way off anyway.

Obviously I'm a massive Lab fan, but Cooper has shown me that BCs have their gentler side too.

My little dog loves to catch flies. Unfortunately today she tried to catch a wasp and got stung on her mouth. I'm keeping a very close eye on her!

Thanks. She seems ok although her lip is a little swollen. I hope she has learnt from it but I suspect not.

My dog is very wasp adverse but that's mainly because I'm such a drama queen if there is a wasp about! :)
