Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Indi has no self respect; he is not interested in ducks, the ones on the pond in the park came up to us yesterday cos they thought I had food for them but it was only his treats they were seeing. He would happily have shared!

Bless him!

Poppy doesn't know how to deal with ducks. She's a bit frightened of them but you can tell she's thinking that it might be fun to play with them. ;)

We are doing a new thing today - a Hoopers workshop. I think Hoopers will be a little easier on Wanda's joints than agility, and there seems to be little point in being on a waiting list for agility at our present training centre anyway. Hopefully by taking part in one of the first Hoopers workshops we will be further up the waiting list if Hoopers becomes a regular class. I'll try to get some pictures if I can!

I’ve seen Hoopers advertised and it looks brilliant fun. I’d love Charlie to have a go but our nearest is the other side of Southampton, a bit too far for us to travel. Let us know how you get on, BBL!

Wanda enjoyed it and for the first hour was pretty focussed and enthusiastic. But it was a two hour workshop and she is not used to working/concentrating for that long and soon afterwards was doing what she was asked because there was a treat, but not very enthusiastically. Then another dog came bounding up to her and took her a bit by surprise and she got very defensive. She was shattered at the end of it, but not so shattered that when we got home and she saw another fledgling in the garden she chased it (for some reason instead of flying upwards to safety it did circuits of the garden at about a foot off the ground) until she managed to catch it. If we had stopped the hoopers class after 90 minutes and just come home without incident it would have felt a more successful day!

2 hours sounds a long time for a workshop. I’m not surprised Wanda’s concentration was shot by then.

Fraisethorpe beach south of Bridlington. Two hours plus drive but worth it for the space especially at low tide

That's beautiful, DT :)

Poppy-the-puppy is in big trouble. She was here for the afternoon yesterday and destroyed one of Mr Woo's hearing aids. She found them on his bedside table and although I stopped her swallowing it, it is now in 4 pieces :( He was seriously unimpressed. There was swearing. I did let the words 'well if you'd been wearing them like you should ....' slip out of my mouth which helped a lot! ;)
