Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Yes, our first two Labs, especially Lizzie, our first, assumed that everything and everyone was all sweetness and light. Floss isn't quite as starry eyed :-)

Ernie is generally a 'bound in first, deal with the consequences later' kind of dog. We've had a couple of moments later where he has shown a little more restraint in the face of some less positive body language from other dogs.

Ernie has just started playing keepy uppy with a balloon. Every time it lands on the floor he woofs at us to bop it up in the air again. He’s doing remarkably well at gently bopping it with his nose rather than biting at it. He’s a daft dog.

Bugger, he just got overexcited and jumped on it. Pop!

Lizzie (Lab number 1) was fantastic at carrying balloons around in her mouth. She'd pick them up very gently by the knot and then, just like Ernie, toss them up in the air and catch them again. She was a fab dog. :-)

Cleo and Stella are currently sleeping off a short frantic visit from Toby, my brother’s young and very excitable French Bulldog. Toby only got a couple of telling offs. Cleo, who’s now 12, give him a warning air-snap at the exactly the same time as my brother told him ‘ho - you can put that away Toby’. He was smart enough to take the hint!

Mother has a dog walker for George on the days that I can't take him out. The other day, she was out when George and the walker came back so he used his key and left George in the house.
At this time of the year, George is usually filthy when he gets back from a walk and Mother always puts him in the shower. When she got home, she found a trail of muddy paw prints into the shower (see photo). He'd obviously recognised that he needed to be in there, even if there was no-one home to turn the water on! Bless him!
